The Geneva International Motor Show

For those who don't already know, petrol courses through my veins! It's hard-coded in the DNA! When I was young, I fell in love with Porsche 911s, Ferrari F40s, and the then iconic Lamborghini Countach. It quickly evolved from there.

Prior to moving to Basel, I worked in Sales & Marketing with Hendrick Automotive Group at Hendrick Porsche, Hendrick Acura, and Land Rover Charlotte. This great experience is likely why I can’t shake the love for cars! So - what does an auto enthusiast do after moving to Switzerland? Attend the Geneva International Motor Show (or GIMS), of course!

While I only use public transit here, and occasionally rent a car, it feels fantastic when I do finally get behind the wheel or attend a show like this and drool over all things from Bugatti’s just unveiled La Voiture Noire to Lamborghini’s historic tractors.

The GIMS is held at Palexpo, a convention center that is conveniently located at the airport. Luckily this is also a convenient stop via the SBB rail line from all over Switzerland! Well enough chatter, I just wanted to share some pics from this insane event!

I'm a US expat, blogging photographer and world-traveler who may or may not like tequila a bit too much.
